Your new Cedar Ridge home is covered by the Alberta New Home Warranty Program. We are proud to be a member of this elite group of builders, meeting the high standards of criteria required to qualify.  Our goal is to ensure that you, the buyer, are satisfied and protected.

1 YEAR - Comprehensive Labour & Materials
2 YEAR - Distribution Systems (Heating, Plumbing, Electrical)

5 YEAR - Building Envelope
10 YEAR - Structural Integrity 

Warranty work is a normal part of the new home process.  Although we work very hard to inspect your home thoroughly before possession, sometimes warranty items may come up.  But rest easy in knowing Cedar Ridge has a full time dedicated warranty representative to promptly take care of any concerns. 

HOW MUCH WARRANTY SHOULD I EXPECT?

Our goal is always to have zero warranty issues on any of our new homes.   However, to put that in perspective…the average new home has approximately 60,000 individual parts, from individual roof shingles, 2'x4' studs, sinks, handles, etc..

In the first year, that means if 99% of all parts in your home are installed and working correctly, you would still experience roughly 600 warranty items in that year...

​

And if 99.9% of all items in your home are installed and working correctly you would experience about 60 warranty items in the first year...

​

And at 99.99%, you would have 6 warranty items. 

HOW DO I MAKE A CLAIM?

STEP #1

 Check your possession date.  ANHWP coverages are based on 1, 2, 5, & 10 year timelines. Your warranty's commencement date is the first step in understanding if a warranty item is eligible.

STEP #2

 Consult the ANHWP website, which offers videos and comprehensive information on warranty coverage.  Warranty guidelines, descriptions, and exclusions for almost all items in your home are found here. 

STEP #3

If you determine you have a warranty item that is in need of repair, email us directly at warranty@cedarridgehomes.ca . Please provide as many details and photos as possible. 

STEP #4

Our warranty representative will contact you to facilitate a time for the repair.  Our trades typically require access during regular business hours of 8:00am-5:00pm (weekdays).

*NOTE - All appliances are warrantied directly by the manufacturer so please consult your homeowners manual for details.
