Legacy Ridge is surrounded by natural coulee grasslands that offer all sorts of outdoor opportunities. The Alexander Wilderness Park, which is to the west of the community is a 255 hectare environmental reserve with plenty of trails to explore. Or, hike the naturalized trail system that ties into Pavan Park in the north and Peenaquim Park to the south.
Legacy Ridge also has 43 acres of beautifully landscaped green spaces, parks and paths.

Schools
Elementary students of Legacy Ridge have the option to attend Senator Buchanan Elementary or the new St. Teresa of Calcutta Elementary School which is right in the Legacy Ridge neighbourhood. For middle schoolers of Legacy, Wilson Middle School would be their school, and high school students would attend Winston Churchill High School. All of the schools enjoy a long history in Lethbridge.

Legacy Ridge is also only minutes from Downtown Lethbridge for additional shopping and entertainment.
